Your page on the Windows Efficiency Console just saved my life!!! I am SOOOO grateful. I just ordered a 1 year subscription. But I have a question: My computer is equipped with MS Essentials anti-virus. Can I continue to use this for continuous scanning and use your Trojan Killer on a weekly basis to look for things MS Essentials might have missed (like the Windows Efficiency Console!) ???
By the way: The first solution using Taskkill wouldn’t work on my computer, cmd.exe did not recognise the command. Also, when doing the alternative solution, I thought I would be helpful so I changed Windows NT to Windows XP; WRONG! You might want to put a little note reassuring people that it really means what it says. Also, when it came to the shutdown my cmd.exe didn’t like the \’s and what worked was “shutdown -r”.
But these are minor points, above all I am VERY GRATEFUL. Many other websites had crappy suggestions.
Please let me know about the MS Esssentials matter. Thanks.
